If you are having problems with the camera crashing, take a look in the "camera.cfg" file and try adjusting some settings: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Cossacks 3\data\cameras

Looks like the fog is adjustable too if you don't like it in the distance

In case anyone was wondering, SphereLength = 58 is what seems to be responsible for the maximum distance you can zoom out. No idea what SphereHeight is actually doing. Keep in mind that in order to see the entire map on higher zoom levels, you need to increase the top and bottom restriction values.

Edit: Hm, it seems this only applies to the camera in the editor in test mode. In the proper game the zoom is still restricted like before.

2nd Edit: The issue seems to be that the camera.cfg file is not where the in-game camera gets its values from. I managed to start a skirmish game within the editor (by creating a blank map and going into test mode, it just got me into the main menu of the game from which I started the skirmish), which gave me access to the camera properties via the editor. Even though I set SphereLenght to 158 both in the camera.cfg file and in the editor before, it was back at 58.
