Flexible Formation Handling [Engine Improvement]

    I improved the C3 engine so that there are more possible bonuses and they are now applied per player per unit per formationtype, instead of per formation. You can also upgrade formation bonuses now. I also added my reload system, where units reload per weaponindex. So after firing your musket, you can immediatly go into melee and don't need to wait to reload your musket. Ranged weapons require you to stand idle in order to reload your weapon.

    Steam Workshop item

    This is mostly meant as a base for fellow modders to start off with, rather than make their own system. It should not be regarded as an enduser mod (though it can be played). To change the stats that formation types give, edit them in the unit.script (see the pikes as example).

    Edit: if you already have a mod and want to use the framework, but don't want to merge it yourself, I can merge it for you (when I have time).

    Updated to 2.0, upgrade bonuses are now defined in the unit.script and per unit per formation(index).
    Although the bonuses are linked to a player, I haven't made new upgrades to change the formation stats that way.
    This is because of the inflexible upgrade system and time constraints.

    Sorry, but at this moment the mod is broken, due to changes in the way mods work that came with rise to glory. I will do my best to restore this mod today and in the weekend.
  7. Not your fault. We do appreciate your efforts. It must be frustrating reworking these mods over and over again.

    You have no idea, not that I'm bragging or anything, just sharing my experience, but I had about 20 mods for Age of Mythology and pretty much all of them got broken by updates and I'm still unable to update them sadly.

    Nice job, maybe I'll arse myself one of these days to combine your mod (or mods) with the standard bearers one and possibly add something from my side to see how formations would at least look like in the future with an added morale system to give the standard bearers are purpose other than looking good.

    This sounds like something ill want to incorporate somewhen in the future once im done with my own plans.
