Hello, seeing as the rapid development of our modding capabilities and the inevitable soon to be added workshop support I'd like to get an early understanding of what is most wanted by you guys, I'd post it in the general discussions but I feel more comfortable doing it here... Because of reasons.

First up is AC2, I'd like for GSC to make it so we have a stable base on which to also step on for more realistic mods but if there is enough support from the community I don't see why not try our hand at it.

Next we have the Napoleonic Wars, I personally prefer the Hawks mod for American Conquest over Cossacks 2 about the time period but maybe that's just my opinion, anyhow, anything is possible and this will probably be done sooner or later, question is, do we do this first?

Napoleonic Wars are basically early 19th Century but what I meant was mid-late 19th Century, with the introduction of cartridge lever action and bolt action rifles put in service.

As far as Rome goes, the poll option speaks for itself, of course it would require a lot more work than the previous 3 options since we'd be basically starting from scratch, but at least our Roman Legionaries could be based on the Austrian Roundshier.

Star Wars and Warhammer 40, 000 are both fantasy worlds set in futuristic space but given the large scale of both worlds it could do for epic ground battles even if we can't go into space, yet.

World War 1 and Civil War both speak for themselves I believe, I'm especially interested in doing a WW1 mod due to the possibility of trenches and the many nations which are not represented in other games such as the Ottoman empire, Bulgaria, Austro-Hungaria, USA, the Russian Empire and so forth. It would basically be a 4v4. And the stalemate combat is sorta already in game, sorta.

I would love to see a 19th century mod.

Well it's one of those eras that doesn't really get touched by the RTS brush (early 19thC is the exception) and which is actually rather fascinating - ironclad steamers, gatling guns, trains, torpedoes to name a few facets.

Also you could completely lump the American Civil War into it rather than a separate mod!

I'd also love to see an American conquest 2 mod HOWEVER why spend all that effort trying to make a full blown total conversion mod when this is the most likely area for a new game from GSC?

Yeah sorry but I just prefer the musket era compared to the arquebus one.

Haha you will probably be an integral part of it.

I misunderstood, i thought you wanted to know which mod's we wanted to see.
Also, didn't the American Conquest period with conquistadors start in the late 15th, to 16th century? So the AC mod in your poll would be 16th century aswell, or not?

    I'm confused.

Aw, poor 16th Century. I would very much like to see that (and 19th Century! ha :D )

Besides, there were muskets as well - they just were super heavy and all needed stands :D

A mod covering the middle age or part of it because it was 1 000 years of history there is a lot of possibilities ! But it isn't in the poll. :(
I'm asking but I have no competence in modding, so it's just a wish. Do what you prefer !

Nah, mod PROJECTS, not that a 16th Century isn't possible or anything, it's just not a mod project I would start on, at least not by myself, as I'm uninterested in the era unlike 17th/18th and 19th Centuries.

It could work, definitely, if you find me some modelers and texturers to do the new models, textures and just overall the materials we need I'd be on board with you.

However, you'll need to go into specifics on how each thing will work and what the balance will be and so forth, I see your 16th Century mod topic but just units won't cut it, we need a rough idea of the whole mod.

Like my answer for the 16th Century one, I am just not very interested in the Medieval ages as I also consider them the "Dark Ages", I'm not really into religion or the whole "knightly" thing of England and France so I generally skip it over.

Again, with that said, not that it's not possible or anything but someone else might pick it up, there was a mod in development for American Conquest but it got abandoned sadly, they had a lot of stuff like Castles, towers and walls already done, as well as catapults, longbow men, Men At Arms and so forth, it was sad to see it go.

I'm more into the Greek/Roman era and then just skip over to the musket era, after that rifle era (think mid-late 19th Century and then the World Wars after that).

I've voted Napoleonic Wars, but would be quite happy to play any.:)

Then I redo and vote for something in the poll :p
I would be for an American Conquest or Napoleonic mod then but not necesseraly like the one GSC made but set in the same period. But like Loner I would be ready to play any of them

If GSC start working on American Conquest 2 then we can entirely start on the Napoleonic mod. But until then I think we'll just be collecting bits and pieces, building models and textures, unit such and so forth, and awaiting for the time to actually use them in a mod, whether that maybe AC2 or the Napoleonic War mod.

It's definitely up there tho, I'm hoping I can start work on a WW1 mod after that or in between the Napoleonic War mod.

Really hoping GSC try to release AC2 tho, it would provide a really good foundation for realism modding.

Sorry, but none of them, I want a 16c mod.

I think before doing extra mods you should begin with a realistic and enjoyable mod for the already existing game with real fire power and ballistics, more strategic depth for cavalry and artillery, a 16th century added, some new unique units to make nations more different to each other, new maps (larger and with snow, lakes and that kind of stuff... and I haven't finished there are so many things to fix and to change !
