Hello, i would like it, if you could implement 64 - bit support for Cossacks 3. I would need the additional memory, because i increased the maximum number of units in the config - file drastically. By choosing "multiple nations" and a peace time of more than three hours, a lot of units can get created in a large map. Especially if you play against six enemies at the level "impossible". Because each nation of those can give you roughly 8.000 additional units, you are quickly at numbers of 20.000 units in your population or even more. The main problem in this case are the "out-of-memory" errors i get, that are destroying the current instance of Cossacks 3. Maybe it's even possible to increase the maximum number of units for each nation, by letting the user decide how much additional living - space for the population a new building gives. Because there are different numbers for different buildings, the user could decide by setting a percentage. So, for example, the user can adjust, that the additional living - space for each building gets increased by 200 %. So it would also make sense to let the user free decide about peacetime. To do so, you could let the user write any number he wants in an editfield. Additionally it would make sense to increase the maximal size of a map in the same way. In this way a realistic simulation of historical battles or whole states with hundreds of thousands of units would be possible. Furthermore it would be an advantage, if the mortars could get adviced, to attack a whole area instead of letting them attack just one building. In this way, the user does not have to select each building separately when attacking a whole city. I think (and hope) it won't get too difficult to implement a few ideas of what i've written. Thank you for reading my text, Michael
The game was never full optimized which is a shame because its such a great game. We are waiting for an update that GSC said would be coming at some point, so maybe they may optimize the game a bit more, but that was last year in November so we do not know what is happening.
