Army managing suggestion.

    We can make formations from units but we need some 2nd stage where you can make army from formations.
    In that "army" every formation would hold same distance to each other formation (until mountain is there, thats bit problematic) so your long time prepared group of forms wont split when you are trying to move.
    The army would hold speed of the slowest one (artilleries), of course.

    How to use:
    First of all, we need to add a "general" unit to the game ( already seen in tutorial) from who you will build it (like officer). You would select the general, click on special button "build army" ("edit army" right below) and then press selecting multiple formations. Once you are done, hit save and the army would lock on.
    Lonely units (except general) without formation are not allowed to enter. You can click on the general ( selecting whole army) or on each formation. Button "leavy army" would apper. Death general =>spliting army. Death officer =>formation spliting=>leaving army.

    General is pretty expensive. One general can command max 6 forms (artillery, infantry, cavalry), another general (also counting to the limit), could be added as a single formation increasing the number by 4. But he hasnt got any other function. (secondary general death =>the overnumbered latest added forms will leave.)

    Maybe, if you want some only cavalry army (for fast sneak attacks) the general should "jump on" some fast horse (from unit upgrade like it is on the ferry).

    If players think, the cost are very big for just some easier managing, small benefits to attack/defend should come.

    sounds really good. Artillery formations count into the limit of 6+4?

    Yes, I hate the difference in speed between infantry and artillery. True is that howitzers (not sure about moratars) are limited to 10 which is quite small number and will fill your limit very fast. Bud small howitzer formation update or increasing the limits to 8+n*6 would do the job.

    You might want to post the thread in the Mod section of this forum. It is the only place where it has a chance of being implemented for Cossacks 3.
