it doesn't work for me. it just won't launch. i did it exactly like in the video. At first i kept getting the error to change AGP aperture to 256 in BIOS and not nothing at all happens when i push on engine.exe.
Try to download X3D8.DLL and place in \Cossacks II\Data folder. You also need to download c2-hoae-3d-patch.zip and unzip it to the Data folder.
i did as you described. Now the error i get as soon as i trylaunching the game. " Change your APG Aperture size to 256 or more". So i went into BIOS of my ASROCK mainboard, but failed to find this setting. I don't know where it is. Google didn't help so far. Any idea ?

What the error message do you get? Take a screenshot. Probably you have an older version of the game, so: 1. You need the C2_Patch_v1_2.exe (google that exact thing and download it) 2. Download Universal Extractor (google it and download it) 3. Use Universal Extractor to extract the C2_Patch_v1_2.exe patch into any file you want on your desktop 4. Copy and paste extracted patch into the root folder for Cossacks 2 C:\Program Files\GSC Game World\Cossacks II\Data 5. Download this new patch. Unzip it to the \Cossacks II\Data folder. (This patch is for "Cossacks 2: Napoleonic Wars" only.) 6. Run game using DxWnd and video guide. 7. If you will get the message "The graphic mode is not supported" press 'Debug', wait a moment and try run again. P.S. but now when I use DxWnd and create a file, everything is blurry and I part of the screen is black, the game is only 1200x something and i cant get the game to be 1980x1080 also when i try to select something, the game acts as it is in 1980x1080 and to be able to select for example the settings you must place your cursor below the setting? Guys, I have an off topic question. As many of use play Cossacks II, now even on modern windows, can we create a Steam group in order to organize fair pvp battles together?
Do we have some volunteers to create it? Who know how to make it and manage it? Because I'm completely ignorant on the subject. With a group with all of us would be easier to wait CIII, because we can play CII meanwhile!
