Let's get acquainted! We know that many of you manage Cossacks pages on other sites or actively participate there! We’d like to know about all the existing communities. We’ll recruit beta-testers among the moderators and users of these pages. Drop here or send by personal message links to all the pages, groups, forum threads and administrators’ contacts!
http://cossacksworld.ucoz.co.uk/ We cover Cossacks 1, AC, and Cossacks2. I Believe that we hold many "lost" mods, and patch's for all the games, as well as many, many maps for C2. We would love to be a part of the beta-test.
Big fan since the first version ! But I do not have any community, i play it in LAN with friends If i can test and help, i'll be glad !
A new community http://unitedm.de.vu/ and forum at http://unitedmarshalls.fullboards.com/ Hopefully it will grow bigger.
Hello guys, i will tell you my story how i got to Cossacks. When i was 9 back in 2000 i got my first PC, i had no real games for it. Suddenly a friend comes by and brought me a bunch of CDs, first he said these are music CDs an i listened them. One of them i thought "what a funny music". But i wondered why there isnt music on track 1. I got another game and listened to this games music, then i found out there is also no music on track 1 too. I took cossacks immeadiately and put it into my computer and i was happy to see this is a game. This game man, is my favourite RTS i ever played, no other game took me so many hours on the PC i cant believe it. I like the detail, the many many units, huge battles, nice graphics and so many techs to research. I was never a "Pro gamer", at least i think so because i played wery few in the internet and i was just that better then my friends that they dont want to play against me anymore. I also got American Conquest + FB and Cossacks 2 + BfE What i wish about Cossacks 3: A very well balanced game. Nice looking graphics. A good option of tactics. A lot of diffrent Units, specially Naval, and a lot of "thank you's" for making this game happen! I would appreciate if i could join the beta test. Best Regards Ostarrichi
My application for being a beta tester: Dear Cossacks makers In the Cossacks world i am known as [KGR]Catweazel. I am probably the most active player in the history of Cossacks. I started playing this game in september 2001 with the demo of European wars and played all versions of Cossacks ever since. But the game i was the most active in, has always been Cossacks-back to war. I have played nearly 19000 matches between 2001-2015. I have taken part at numerous Tournaments and leagues and played against the best of the best. With a victory rate of 97% in title matches of def10pt in million ressources and 52 title matches in a row undefeated, i am the most successful player in my discipline since the creation of LCN. LCN record hall: http://en.newlcn.com/records.php?type=&op=1000000&limit=20 My LCN profile: http://en.newlcn.com/player.php?plid=106 In the clanranking my clan KGR leads overwhelmingly on the number 1 position in def10pt $$$ KGR's LCN clan-rating in def 10pt:http://en.newlcn.com/ranking_clan.php?op=1000000 Moreover in the tournament Rushleague, which can be considered as the Cossacks worldcup, i have won 21 gold medals which makes me the the record-world-champion in my discipline. My Rushleague statistic: http://en.rliga.com/stat/millions/total/ But now enough of this show off Let me lose some words about myself. My Name is Domenik and i am 28 years old and i am Business Economist. I spend half of my life with Cossacks, because i love strategy and Cossacks is just the best RTS game ever made. I have made many friends in game and in real life because of Cossacks. Because of Cossacks i got in touch with so many people all over the world, and i benefited a lot from that because my English skills got so much better than before and i learned a lot about different cultures and people. I know the game so well with all its dynamics, possiblities and weaknesses. I know i could be a of great help for Cossacks 3. I am the leader of KGR, that is a large International Clan, which is currently present in Cossacks-back to war, fifa 14 and 15, and Clash of Clans. In our history which began on the 22nd September 2002, we have had hundreds of members from all over the world. Our forum has been founded in 2006 and includes 772 registered users and 55673 posts. The KGR Forum has been the number 1 forum for all English speaking-players for many years. Please visit us on: http://z7.invisionfree.com/kgr/index.php? You would make me really happy if could be a part of the creation of Cossacks 3! best regards Domenik alias [KGR]Catweazel
Are you sure? I vaguely remember that you live in the Harz or something like that ;-) Anyway if you are looking for beta testers I'd be glad to help. I have experience in running the (only) English Cossacks community site Cossacks-Portal.com (together with Mustang) including newsletters, background articles and weekly tournaments. I also have a strong technical background and provided the Cossacks community with self-programmed tools such as the GameChecker (for checking the points progression of a running game), CossacksBot (an IRC bot for the Gamespy shell which provided various useful features such as !lastseen) and a SaaS tournament website where clans could host and manage their own tournaments. Given my strong ties to the Cossacks community and in-depth knowledge of technical details I would be a great beta tester and could provide valuable help for finding bugs and working out technical kinks.
I am old Cossacks player which never liked crazy multiplayer gameplays. Nevertheless there are millions people like me, which bought C1 AC or C2 games, becouse we liked good RTS games based on historical periods. We prefer historical warfare and art of war known from 17th and early 19th centuries. I suppose your fans could help you make C 3 game which better stick with common customers expectations. You can find me as Active Member on this forum. Best regards Nowy
I am very interested in being part of the beta test for C3. As support I would list that; (a) I am a member of the community which uses the site Daddio linked to above, Cossacks World UK; (b) I am a member of Old Cossacks Clan which is being renewed to play Cossacks 3; (c) I wrote the playing manual for OC Davout's OC Mod. (d) I further modded OC Mod to improve the nation and unit balance. (This was called OC Mod Balanced which was never publicly released but was tested by a small community) (e) I am a theorist of RTS game concept design, having written a theory paper titled "The General Theory of RTS Models". My particular interests are in large scale RTS games, historical realism of weapons performance and formation behaviours and the conceptual problems of scaling and modelling real world behaviours into an RTS engine. I attach two zip files of "The General Theory of RTS Models" and "OC Mod Strategy and Tactics".
this don't sound to good! if by looks of it only admins/mods from communities are getting in the beta testing?
I don't think that's what they mean. I believe they are only saying that when recruiting beta testers the moderators and users of these pages will have priority over others, however that does not mean that others will not be recruited as well. Also you can always join a community and become moderator or Member. You can consider mine, check out the links below.
To be honest that would be quite unfair. Why should i not have same priority as other because im not in a community? I have played this game for years for fun but still love the competitive part of the game and have never been bothered to look to communities to play.
Well that is very simple from the developers perspective. I do understand why you would find it quite unfair. Unfortunately for you what matters is not how much you played the game but rather how much you represent in terms of numbers of people that play the game. Because you have not joined any communities you only represent yourself. Meaning you are only one potential customer. However, someone who is part of a community represents the community which are a series of players they could go from 2 to more than 1000 players. These people are more valuable to the developers because they will bring them a much larger pool of costumers than what you can ever bring them. You can only bring yourself and maybe a few friends. Members of communities can bring whole communities of players and do work for free to get more members to join the community. Getting these people into the BETA with priority will allow the developers to essentially have marketing of their products for free as these people will go on to inform these communities about the beta helping the developer reach a larger crowd that what you can ever achieve without a community. Not joining a community might seem okay for you but it is essentially saying to others that you are not voluntarily interested in sharing your experience with other people making you a customer that is not as valuable as people who do.
