I am really encouraged by this statement from condor-fly: "MOD tools be absolutely powerful and pretty easy to learn. Actually MOD instruments will be completely the same we are using developing Cossacks 3, so you will be able to make ANY game you like." This will be fantastically good. One experiment I would like to undertake (if I get my modding skills good enough) would be to implement fully realistic sight ranges, weapon ranges, reload times and damage. Clearly, only a 4x size map will be big enough for such a game model. The next questions to deal with would be these. How would the upgrade and unit succession model would work for such a big map? On really big maps, basic units (like pikes) are obsolete by the time they march across a map. Does play on a big map become too defensive? Raiding is difficult on a big map and there is a great deal of time to build defenses. Would a game take too long to play? Marching and positioning on such a big map would take a long time even before battles could even happen. I have my theories about how these issues could be overcome. However, theories are just theories. Only a practical attempt at such a mod could clarify whether it is possible and playable. Without boring people with too much theory, I will say that the type of game model which would follow from this theory could be like a hybrid halfway between the RTS model and the Battlefield model. The Battlefield model is when you start with standing armies already close to action range. And we all know what the RTS model is. I would like to combine the best elements of both in a fully realistic manner. It's just a dream at this stage.
It should be over in europe by now. Here in the US it isn't: Here: 2:42 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2015 (GMT+3) Time in Ukraine Anyways I guess just like they said for Cossacks 3 release date. The news that we were going to get at the beginning of this week means that we will be getting them by early next week. I guess is a thing now. I hope we get something next week at least. They are starting to build a reputation. Although maybe it could have been a translation problem and to them the beginning of a week is not Monday it might include up to Wednesday for them. It would be ridiculous to think anything other than that can be the beginning of a week but that is just my culture. There are other views of the beginning of the week out there. We would have to ask people from Ukraine or that have some sort of knowledge about Ukrained timing guidelines.
Sadly say, but it looks that Olcha_GSC made next empty promise. There are not any news and updates in the beginning of this week. So, how we can believe that they add powerful mod tools to the game which we have not seen yet? Sorry, but it looks like next empty promise. Lokking at their past history Ukraininas suffered with their empty promises. Ukrainian Cossacks often broke their promises and even today Ukrainians still do not bother that they could break their reputation when they make next empty promises.
The tears is appeared on my eyes, because a "great historian" Nowy detects empty promises comes from Ukrainian Cossacks and through Olcha_GSC
Oh my god... my nightmares come true. Cossacks III will be another unfinished badly programmed game with dozenz of expensive dlcs and daily patches. F... this. I want a complete game for my money! And not an unfinished product. Its ok to make addon dlcs later - but if they plan or make those before the game is released, they could aslo include them in the game from the beginning. It sounds like the are making just another money milking machine here. What next? Buying better units or upgrades for the game with real money? Making Cossacks a pay to win game? NOOO !!! When it was possible to make complete games in the year 2000, it should be possible to make a complete game in the year 2015 again. Imagine if you would order a pizza and when it comes you only get a piece of pastry. You ask: "Where is my pizza?" the delivery boy answers: "Yo man, if you want a complete pizza you have to wait so that we can finish the sauce, the cheese and all the other stuff and you must pay for every singele piece seperatly." I wouldn't buy that pizza.
Do not worry, Steam will download all free DLC and updates automaticly and without your attention Keep your moral strength on hight level - on another way you will be decimated
There is still hope for new information this week is not over yet I do not like the fact that the complete game will be separated and that there will DLCs. So I have to pay for the game and still extra money for DLCs? I mean that 100% complete game will be separated on 80% as a game, and another 20% as DLCs. But it is wrong I want to pay for 100% of the full game and if they do something extra in the form of DLC which expands the game by 20%. I hope you see the difference. This is the only way they elicit from us more money. Why are they not doing the game in one piece as before. Tzz
We don't even have any solid information regarding their DLC plans yet. So i think we should wait for some information before jumping the gun. We have to remember they are a very small company and probably have a tiny budget compared to most game studios. I am just thankful that we have Cossacks 3 in the making and i am gladly going to support them if the game is anything like the Original Cossacks which has given me more hours of fun than i can even count over the years.
Actually, when you order a Pizza, you have to pay extra for the toppings. That's why a Margherita with only tomato sauce and cheese is much cheaper than others with more toppings.

1.Will you make a separate forum for modding? 2.Will this forum have banners based on the contributions? 3.What do you mean by official level? Will the mods made show up in the game or in steam workshop? 4.You said "coding at the level of the engine", Will we have access to the engine's source code in a solid language (C++,C#,...other) or only the scripting language you mentioned before(pascal syntax)? 5. Will there be a wiki or documentation where we can add tutorials or search for tutorials?
