Oh my oh my oh my! I am so happy because of that! AAAAA! I will get my trousers wet! anyway, what do you think about cossacks?
OFF-TOPIC In the meantime, parallel to the GSC making our long awaited Cossacks3 blockbuster, there is a sound floating over whole European Union...
Look it up International 2015, its the biggest gaming competition in gaming history with a prize pool of almost 17 million dollars the largest prize pool in gaming history.
17 million ! Didn't knew there was so much money for Dota. Strange to see a traditionnal greek music and dance on a forum about a video game called Cossacks, but that's nice The video cossacks from Cossacks was nice too but I didn't understand a word. They are a reenactment group ?
They are the modern Ukrainian cossack from Hortitsa iland on Dnipro river - childhood of all the cossacks
The way they were swinging those swords around! now I understand why their hair was shaved on the sides of their head. The blades got a little too close.
Good one. It almost felt like a dance. Unfortunately you would have to be insanely strong to actually keep the blade moving while you are cutting through things or even flesh with those blades.
actualy, their cossacks ritual hair style "chyb" means, that they are ready to die for Mother Ukraine also, in that video they told, that one professional sabre warrior can cut out 8 strong men in a minute
well, but in real fright nobody is waiting in a row to get all of them one by one. In so called "laboratory" conditions it might be true. But let's keep the facts, usually cossacks had severe problems fighting with Russian army, they did quite well with Turks, but regular army was too strong opponent for their sabers.
I never heared or read about "Ukrainians starved to death at the times of 16-18 century". In 1920, 1932-33, 1945 - yes, but in 16-18 century???
scarcity of food in Ukraine grain full fields? I don't think so. Oh, thanks for your "bavarian" observe
Ukranian history is not very popular worldwide so I can't really tell and there is not much information about it on the internet. All I could find were in the years you mentioned I quote: "During the German occupation, 6.8 million people were killed in Ukraine, of whom about 1.4 million were Jews and 1.4 million were Soviet military personnel killed at the front or starved to death in prisoner of war camps. From February 1942, more than 2 million Ukrainians were deported as slave laborers to Germany (see Ostarbeiter)"
